Steven Anton Klinsky
Intrigued by potters throwing on the wheel since he was a young child, in 1979 Steve was pushed by friends into a class taught by Mr. Paul White, at Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA. It was a class that would change his life. After a lot of study and experimentation, he started selling pieces at craft shows. At one show he was approached by the owner of a design showroom located in Beverly Hills, CA, about making large ceramic pots. This started the larger scale of his work. Within a few years, showrooms in Beverly Hills CA, Hollywood CA, Laguna Beach CA, Carmel CA, Seattle WA, Chicago IL, and Phoenix AZ, all were selling Klinsky Ceramics.
Living and working in San Diego, CA for twenty years, Steve has been able to enjoy both his ceramic work, and his passion for surfing. For the past ten years, due to the very large demand in the booming Scottsdale, AZ, area, Klinsky ceramics had been available exclusively through Pearson and Company, in Scottsdale. Since May of 2004, they are now also available in exceptional showrooms and galleries all along the California coast from San Francisco to San Diego.
